This year’s Waste Not Want Not dinner truly was a night to remember. May 29 saw 700 people converge on The Palladium at Crown and raise a total of almost $170,000, allowing SecondBite to rescue and redistribute enough food to provide 680,000 meals all around Australia.
MC’s for the evening, Chrissie Swan and Sam Pang (Nova 100’s ‘Chrissie, Sam and Browny’) had guests in stitches from the first introductions while SecondBite Ambassador Matt Preston and his hand-picked line-up of world-class chefs tantalised guests with a designer menu that included an array of appertisers and a selection of four main courses.
SecondBite CEO Jim Mullan thanked everyone for their support of SecondBite. ‘It was an incredible evening and there was a lot of love in that room. To have so many of our most loyal supporters, long standing friends and well-known faces all come together for SecondBite to help us continue our work and drive our message is very humbling.’
