Corporate Team Building That Makes a Difference
For Sydney based organisations looking for a team building event with a difference, SecondBite’s Meals that Matter with Our Big Kitchen (OBK) offers an engaging experience, focused on giving back to the community.
A typical session involves team members working together to prepare and cook 200 meals for individuals and families in need. Your staff will learn about food insecurity in Australia, the work SecondBite does to address this, the people we support, and will share a meal that they have created together.
HOW MEALS THAT MATTER WORKS:
- Using food rescued by SecondBite and complemented by other donated and purchased produce, your teams will cook meals at Our Big Kitchen under the guidance of OBK staff and volunteers.
- Food that is cooked and prepared then gets packaged into fresh, healthy, individually portioned meals.
- Meals are co-branded with your logo, and SecondBite delivers them to community food programs in the Sydney area, supporting individuals and families in need.
- We finish with a shared lunch, and a chance to hear about the work we do and ask questions.

SecondBite’s Meals that Matter is held at Our Big Kitchen, 36 Flood Street, Bondi, NSW.
This 3 hour cooking program costs $1600* for groups of up to twenty people. For teams greater than twenty, there is an additional charge of $60 per person.
*The program cost is regarded as a donation for tax purposes.
