SecondBite

100 million meals reached!

SecondBite has just reached a milestone of 50 million kilograms of fresh fruit and vegetables rescued and redistributed for people in need across Australia. This is equivalent to over 100 million nutritious meals!

Since our humble beginnings in 2005, SecondBite has been working with food suppliers and local community food programs to provide access to fresh, nutritious food for people in need, free of charge.

SecondBite would not exist without the generous contributions from our supporters: our food donors, our financial supporters, our partnered agencies, our staff, and our dedicated and tireless volunteers. Together we are able to make a positive impact on people who are experiencing food insecurity in our communities. Thank you to all of our partners and supporters, and a special thanks to all of the wonderful organisations we provide food to, that run community meal programs, provide food hampers, or organise food banks right around the country.

Our vision is an Australia that feeds those who need to be fed. To find out more about the future of SecondBite, you can read our strategic plan here.
